Savour a taste of Hong Kong with the Honolulu Café, which showcases an array of desserts, Hong Kong tea, coffee, buns, and more. Unlike the typical Ya Kun or ToastBox, this café serves many specialties that will delight the palate. Whether a Sunday brunch, or a sweet dessert treat, here are some must-haves when you visit!
Vvvv. nice bean curd and egg tarts from the HK Honolulu Cafe! 🇭🇰✨Apparently the bean curd ones must be consumed within 30mins or it'll start to condense and melt. ☄️☕️ Lucky to get them before they sold out 😇💖🖖🏽 Thank you @thanislim for the invite, feeling the love even though you're so far away 🐱👒 #thetravelintern #hongkong #honolulucafesg
The chef uses two types of pastries to create each tart — a 192-layered pastry for the egg ones, and a fruit tart type of pastry for the beancurd tart. You can choose to complement the tarts with a classic HK milk tea, or an ice latte in warmer weather.
I had a taste of Honolulu Cafe's famous egg tarts in Hong Kong before and they are now available at Singapore if you are stopping by for a holiday! Polo Bao, egg tarts or beancurd tart cravings? Fresh out the oven, the tarts were crispy, fresh and truly lived up to its origin. Both tarts were crusty and crumbly, and had uniquely different tastes. I personally preferred the beancurd tart, which would be perfect for those who aren’t a fan of sweet treats.
Fun fact: The beancurd tart must be consumed within 30 minutes, or it would condense and melt! Not that it took much prompting… 😍
I would absolutely love to wake up to this… 😍😍😍
